About Leah Stancil

Leah is a two-time Barbadian Olympian and Olympic finalist - the first from her country to reach an Olympic final. Her experience shaped her leadership philosophy and passion for developing confident, resilient athletes.

With over 20 years of collegiate coaching experience, Leah received Bachelor's in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Sport & Exercise Psychology from the University of Florida. She is also a certified life coach. 

She has recruited hundreds of student-athletes and now support families as a Recruiting Mentor —supporting them navigate the process with clarity and confidence.

Through her lived experience as an athlete and her coaching, Leah helps individuals navigate change, build resilience, and move forward with purpose. She is passionate about empowering high achieving females unlock their infinite potential to help them lead with greatness and self-trust.

Accomplishments

Leah was born and raised in the island of Barbados and represented Barbados in multiple international competitions. She received an athletic scholarship from the University of Florida. Over the course of her athletic career, she competed in 2 Olympic Games, 3 Commonwealth Games, 2 Long Course World Championships, 2 Short Course World Championships, 2 Pan American Games, 6 World Cups. Her accomplishments includes Olympic finalist, 12x NCAA All-American, Barbados National Athlete of the Year for 1997, 1998 and 1999.

During her 20 years of coaching, she served as a Barbados National Team Coach for 2009 Pan American Games, and 2020(1) Tokyo Olympics. She has also impacted 31 Olympians, 600+ NCAA All-Americans, 28 NCAA Champions, and 77 SEC Champions.
